An image has recently been doing rounds on social media platforms and it seemed it was in a bid to poison the well for the Deputy President, William Ruto.
According to the image, sex workers were holding a banner, thanking the Deputy President for supporting their hustle and were offering free services to him in return.
However, this is not true, as the writings had been photoshopped into appearing in the banner.
The original banner was first seen in existence in 2013,when a writer by the name Annalee Newitz, wrote an article, after the Supreme Court ruled in favor of sex workers, supporting that they were also human beings and had a right to life.
The image has since been used in 2016,2017 and 2019 in stories and news articles basing on sex workers’ rights.
