A message  in Swahili has of late been forwarded to many people in their WhatsApp groups;The message claiming to be from Safaricom.

According to the message,Safaricom was offering a 7,000-shilling reward to its loyal customers as a way of appreciating those who had used Mpesa for more than three months.

The message directed Safaricom users to check out if their names had been listed in the reward promotion.

A deadline for the same was also indicated and a link to the said list,given.

However,when Mtaani Radio fact check desk followed up on the matter,it turned out to be false.
