Every media house wants to be the first to produce a story and make it trending,be it on their website or on the airwaves.

Sonko News this week posted a story on their website that raised so many eyebrows.

The story’s headline was so eye catching as it termed Larry Madowo as gay.

Larry Madowo is a Kenyan journalist who is currently working with the BBC.

The introduction to the story was a quote,claimed to be Larry’s words.

It then went ahead to give details on how the reknown journalist had confirmed to the public that he is gay.

However,the image that Sonko News used claiming to be of the man known as James Kin together with Larry mADOWO,was a post from Larry’s Instagram,when he visited and took a picture with Tomi Ladipo.

Tomi Ladipo is a journalist just as is Larry and is also a married man who is a father.

The site had stated in their story that Larry had even posted a video on his Instagram,stating his sexuality to the public.

However,Mtaani Radio fact check desk got to know that the claims were not true,that Sonko News were  the only ones who had posted the story and that Larry Madowo never posted a video on his Instagram,stating to the  public about his sexuality.
