Yes,St.Mary’s School Kithangaini Student Wrote A Letter To The President

Every child has a right to education.

A letter by Philemona Mutheu who is a Form 4 student at St.Mary’s School Kithangaini has been posted on several social media platforms this week.

The letter,which was adddressed to the president,Uhuru Kenyatta,was requesting him to support Mutheu complete his fee arears that had led her to being sent home from school.

Mwala Mp,Hon.Kawaya,when contacted on the same,termed it as false,stating that he had contacted the girl’s school principal,who said that Metheu’s school fees is usually paid in full by an NGO.

Many Kenyans also reacted to the story on Facebook.

However,Machakos governor,Alfred Mutua later posted on his Facebook page that the girl was indeed needy and that he had paid her school fees after seeing the letter by her.

Jalang’o,who is a known Kenyan comedian and radio host at Kiss FM,was also following on the matter.He posted a video of himself on  his Instagram,calling the Machakos governor to confirm how true the story was.The governor,for a second time,confirmed that it was true that the girl had been sent out of school but had been back after he paid her school fees.
