A message claimed to be from Naivas supermarket management has recently been forwarded to several people and groups through WhatsApp.
Naivas supermarket is one of the largest supermarkets in Kenya today,having several branches countrywide.
According to the message,the supermarket was hiring due to its recently opened branches.Also,according to the message,there were vacancies in positions where workers were nearing retirement.
It went ahead to give a list of counties where the vacancies were and a number of opportunities available,as well as the qualifications required.
In addition,there was a guideline on how to apply,for those interested.
One of the steps for application was the payment of 350 shillings,which was said to be refundable to those who would not qualify.An M.Pesa phone number was also issued,where the money would be sent.
When Mtaani Radio fact check desk looked into the matter to know its authenticity,it turned out to be false.When Naivas Supermarket management was called,they stated that they were not hiring at the time.They also said that the last time they did,was September.
