A student at Mokwerero Secondary School in Kemera Ward, Kitutu Masaba, Nyamira County has been arrested for allegedly attempting to slash the Deputy Principal with a panga. The Deputy Principal was rescued by colleagues.

The suspect was arrested on Wednesday morning by the police where he was found with a machete and a sharpening file.

According to Police reports, the student`s aim was the school`s Deputy Principal teacher. The teacher was then rescued by his colleges before the planned ill incident occurred.

This comes barely a day after another student attacked and stabbed his two teachers at Kisii high school in Kisii County.

Teachers services commission TSC,  has regretted the continue attacked on teachers. the commission has urged parents to mentor their children.
