False CHARLSE NJONJO IS ALIVE AND KICKING.

News on Sunday about Charles Njonjo’s reportedly ‘”death” went rife on Saturday October 9, 2021 with many Kenyans expressing their shock and condolences.
Through social media platforms especially twitter, Kenyans went on to contribute on a hashtag #RIPNjonjo that started trending at around 8pm on Saturday night. Many notable figures in the country fell victim to this unverified news of Njonjo’s death.
Former Nairobi governor Mike Sonko is an example, his tweet was seen at around 10pm sending condolence messages to the family of Kenya’s first Attorney General.
Mtaani Radio can confirm that Charles Njonjo is still alive.
In a statement seen by Mtaani Radio, the family dismissed the unfortunate reports terming them as greatly exaggerated.
The family of former Attorney General Charles Njonjo has on Sunday October 10, 2021 debunked rumours surrounding the death of the veteran lawyer.
The family reported that the 102-year-old is alive and as a matter of fact, enjoying his weekend.
“Reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated. I am well and enjoying my weekend at home as we celebrate Utamaduni Day,” the statement read in part.
