There has been emerging news indicating that Willy Paul who is an artist and famous singer in Kenya has finally declared his intentions to try his hand in politics by vying for a political seat in Nairobi City County. This is according to news published on social media by Team News Kenya and bunge la busia on facebook.
A fake poster doing round on social media
According to the poster Willy Paul is set to face off with the current Embakasi East Member of Parliament Paul Ongili alias Babu Owino.
According to fact check conducted by Mtaani radio newsroom the poster is fake and Musician Willy Paul, has no plans in contesting for a political seat in Kenya. Willy Paul on his Instagram post has dismissed the information saying he has no plans in joining politics.
Responding to a question via phone call, Willy Paul said that he has been seeing the post going round on social media which even got him on surprise.
‘I amused to see the post on social media which is not a bad thing but mimi sitaki seat yoyote ya siasa ni mziki tuu’
Previously, Willy Paul has visited the office of the deputy president on several occasion making the news to appear authentic.
