Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has rejoined the Azimio party two weeks after parting ways with Mr Odinga when he was not picked to be his running mate position to Narc-Kenya leader Martha Karua.

After he learned that he was not picked for the running mate position, Kalonzo announced he had decided to go it alone in the August General Election and Andrew Sunkuli as his running mate.

“After deep introspection, I have today deferred my dream to run for the President of the Republic of Kenya in the forthcoming General Election,” he said on Thursday afternoon.

“I have come to the realisation that the future of our nation is on our shoulders. I have deferred my dreams to run in the August elections,” he added.

“In my concentration, I have listened to everyone including the dumb and ignorant.”

Kalonzo at the same time shared a message of gratitude to a section of Kenyans who stood with him when he declared his bid for the presidency.

Kalonzo’s return means he will pick the position of Chief Minister that Mr. Odinga announced when he unveiled his cabinet.

“I have decided to accept with humility and appreciation my nomination as Chief Minister in the in the Azimio coalition,” he said. “It’s not if we will win, but when we form the next government.”

Kalonzo had last month announced his exit from the Azimio fold and declared he will be gunning for the presidency.

This was after Raila picked Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua as his running mate ahead of the wiper boss.
