This election was the fairest and all observers came back with one conclusion that it was a transparent election, former AG Githu Muigai has said.
“Was it a perfect election no! There is nothing like a perfect election. These were human beings who can have a few errors,” he said.
Muigai was Speaking when he submitted his response to the presidential petition on Thursday, Muigai said there were a few errors but does not warrant the nullification of the results.
”There is nothing wrong with IEBC, there is nothing wrong with Wafula Chebukati, there is something very wrong in the way persons who participate in the electoral process accept winning or losing”, Prof. Githu Muigai.
He said the submissions by the petitioners are generalities that need not be admitted.
“Election was conducted until the 11th hour. What is this that happened in the 30 minutes?” Githu Muigai
“This petition is about numbers. The petitioners have tried to argue every other point except numbers. I will be demonstrating to you in a short while that we conducted a proper, fair, constitutional, legal, impartial election.” Lawyer Prof. Githu Muigai
He said the attack on Chebukati has a long history.
