Kenyatta University’s Vice Chancellor Prof. Paul Wainaina made his way back to the Main Campus on Thursday, following the settlement of a dispute that led to his exit.

Speaking during his homecoming party at the University’s Thika Road campus, Prof. Wainaina attributed the turn of events to divine intervention.

“I’m back and we will handle the issues that made me go away” Wainaina states after being reinstated.

“God used the new government to allow wrongs to be rectified using our fundamental principles,” Prof. Wainaina said.

“For me to be alive today is a miracle. I knew the fury that was coming after taking my stand.”

“That land is still intact and the title deed is with us, we had a plan for what we wanted to do with the land. There are procedures if the government wanted to take the public land,” said Prof. Wainaina.

On August 5, the Kiamba-led council dismissed the court directive to reinstate VC Wainaina.
