Claim: Kenya kwanza promised to form judicial inquiry into state capture within 30 days into the office, should they form the government.
With 39 days to the august 9th 2022 general elections, Kenya kwanza brigade while on a campaign trail promised to form quasi- judicial inquiry into state capture within 30 days into the office. The promise with the title State capture inquiry was made on 6/30/2022.
According to the Ruto-Gachagua manifesto the promise was meant in what they term was to deal in with conflict of interest. This promises were first aired on Citizen TV on 6th june 2022 and aso uploaded on their youtube channel on the link below.
The promise was also captured published on the daily nation tilted;”how campaign heat conceives state capture” on Monday, August 01, 2022.

According to the daily nation, Transparency International defines state capture as “a situation where powerful individuals, institutions, companies or groups within or outside a country use corruption to shape a nation’s policies, legal environment and economy to benefit their own private interests”.
This promise was to be delivered by 30th of October 2022. Kenyans are reminded to continue monitoring the progress.
