A photo shared on Twitter claiming to show police engaging protesters in Kamukunji grounds, Nairobi County on December 7, 2022 is FALSE.

The photo was published with a caption that reads “Live pictures from #Kamukunji.”

Using Reverse image search, we established that the photo was first shared online two years ago.

One of the police gears used in the photo has the initial QCPD, which we searched for on Google and established that it stands for Quezon City Police District in Philippines.

With the evidence above, we arrived at the conclusion that the photo is not from Kamukunji.
