A digital card shared on Twitter with a quote attributed to Wiper Democratic Movement party leader Kalonzo Musyoka is not authentic.
The card bearing NTV Kenya’s branding claimed that the former Vice President said he will no longer attend Azimio rallies.
“Enough is said, enough is done, I won’t attend any Azimio rally henceforth. Am Senior Council and I know what is good for the Kenyans,” reads the quote on the card.
To confirm the digital card’s authenticity, Mtaani Radio checked NTV Kenya’s verified Facebook and Twitter pages where it shares all its updates, but there was no such card.
We, however, found this post flagging the card we are investigating as fake.
“Beware of fake news! If it’s not on our official social media pages, it’s fake,” NTV Kenya posted.

We also checked Kalonzo’s Twitter and Facebook pages and established that he retweeted a post by his head of communications, terming the card as fake.
Lastly, Kalonzo was present at Azimio la Umoja One Kenya’s public engagement rally held at Jacaranda grounds in Nairobi on Sunday 29 January 2023.
After the event, Kalonzo tweeted: “The Azimio One Kenya Alliance remains focused in peacefully pursuing justice. There can be no be peace without justice. We say No to stolen elections. Let the people’s voice be heard loudly and respected clearly.”
