A document shared on Twitter purporting to show a list of national secondary schools approved for privatization is FALSE.

The purported list has 28 national secondary schools that include; Starehe boys Centre, Alliance boys, Alliance Girls, Mang’u, Friends School Kamusinga and Moi Girls Eldoret among others.

To confirm the authenticity of the document, we checked Privatization Commission’s Twitter page and website, but there was no such communication.

Mtaani Radio fact-check desk, however, found a statement terming the document as fake.

All organisations listed for privatization are indicated on the Privatization Commission website, but the schools above do not appear anywhere on the list.

The Ministry of Education also disowned the document we are debunking, terming it as fake.
