Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga has said the economy is in a bad state not because of the demos but the bad policies by the government.

“You are blaming Former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s regime for the state of the country yet he left the government last year in September,” he said.

“We are now in July and you have run this government for the last 10 months. We expected to see some change within that period of time.”

Addressing the international media on Tuesday, Raila said that the government has been constantly blaming retired President Uhuru Kenyatta yet they have borrowed more than he did.

Azimio Chief Raila Odinga has finally made his first appearance after missing last week’s anti-government protests. The ODM party leader came out on Tuesday to address the international media.
