A 20-year-old man named Billy Kipchumba from Seretio village in Moiben, Uasin Gishu County, has been sentenced to two years in prison for engaging in an inappropriate act with a cow on September 11, 2023.
Before Eldoret principal magistrate Caroline Wamitta, Kipchumba, who works on a farm, admitted to using a condom during this incident. He expressed remorse and asked the court for forgiveness, explaining that he was overwhelmed by a strong sexual urge that he couldn’t control, attributing it to a devilish influence.
The owner of the cow reported discovering Kipchumba in the act when he heard a disturbance in his cowshed at around 7:00 AM on that Monday.
The magistrate, after considering the evidence presented, found Kipchumba guilty as charged. She emphasized the importance of treating animals with respect and dignity, sentencing him to two years in jail.
Kipchumba has the option to appeal this ruling within 14 days.
