The broadcaster has disowned the digital card.
This graphic shared on Facebook claiming to show a reportage by NTV Kenya on missing government fertilizer is FAKE.
The digital card that missing government fertilizer was allegedly recovered at a house belonging to Kirinyaga Senator Kamau Murango .
To confirm the card’s authenticity, Mtaani Radio fact-checking desk skimmed through the official NTV Facebook and X (Twitter) accounts where it shares such reports, but the graphic was non-existent.
On 3 August 2023, NTV flagged the card and termed it fake.
According to the broadcaster, all its digital cards are shared on its verified social media accounts, adding that if it has not been posted on their accounts then it’s fake.
Senator Murango also dismissed the graphic and urged Kenyans to disregard it.
