The family of Edward Kirumba Kamuyu are in agony after their son Ayub Kamuyu was this afternoon shot dead by a neighbour in a cold blood killing.
According to Kamuyu senior he had called a land surveyor to mark some becons on his land when his neighbour one Paul Ndungu Githi emerged and drew a firearm threatening him and his wife and in a rage of fit Ndungu punched him in the face .
His son stepped in and asked him why he punched his father but Ndungu shot him twice in the chest and fired another shot that missed his wife.
As residents gathered to see the commotion the gun man ran away firing in the air and locked himself in his house .
Police officers from Mutuini Police station arrived and kept the crowd who were ready to storm his house and lynch him.
According to area residents along Adonai the suspect is the chairman of the local numba Kumi .
The angry residents blockaded the road in protest .
The suspect is currently bring held at Kabete police station
