This photo shared on X (formerly Twitter) claiming to show Senator Tom Ojieda launching an affordable housing project is FALSE.
In the image, the senator is seen preparing to launch what appears to be a temporary structure made from iron sheets.
“Prof Tom Ojienda is now launching affordable housing project, working with government must be nice,” reads the post (Sic).
The Affordable Housing Programme is a government program meant to provide decent, safe and affordable housing for Kenyans.
To confirm the authenticity of the photo, Mtaani Radio performed a reverse image search and found this video indicating that the senator was launching an assistant chief’s office in Achego sub-location, Kisumu County.
A similar photo was also published by The Standard and Citizen Digital, who both confirmed that the senator was launching an assistant chief’s office.
