The ministry has disowned the poster
This poster on Facebook purportedly advertising jobs at Kenya’s State Department for Housing and Urban Development is FAKE.The advert claims that the state department for housing is seeking to recruit for different roles that include; carpenters, plumbers, electricians, store keepers, drivers, security officers and surveyors among others.
Interested persons are required to submit their applications via an email address provided.To confirm the poster’s authenticity, Mtaani Radio checked the Ministry of Lands, Public Works, Housing and Urban Development’s website, Facebook page and X account (formerly Twitter) for any such advert, but there was none.
On 24 October 2023, the ministry flagged the poster and termed it fake.“Beware of this fake and misleading advertisement!” the ministry said.
The job advert was also flagged by the State Dept for Housing and Urban Development and its Principal Secretary, Charles Hinga.
