This photo on Facebook claiming to show Kenya’s Office of the President is SATIRICAL.
The image portrays vehicles queuing at what appears to be a checkpoint manned by persons in police uniform. The checkpoint has a banner written “Office of The President, Kenya.”
“JKIA is the new office of the president!..where he just land to take breakfast then continue with the journey!” reads the post. (Sic)
The photo was shared online after it emerged that Kenyan President William Ruto had made 38 foreign trips since he took over power in September 2022.
To confirm the photo’s authenticity, Mtaani Radio performed a Google reverse image search and established that the original image is of the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) in Nairobi, Kenya.
JKIA is the major airport in the country and serves as the country’s main entry point.
