The Kenya Pipeline Company(KPC) has donated KES 3 million, through its Foundation, to the Dorcas Rigathi Foundation’s boy-child rehabilitation program. The program which runs across the country is aimed at creating a healthier and stronger generation of young boys.
Speaking during the cheque handover ceremony held at the office of the Spouse of the Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya, H.E Pastor Dr. Dorcas Rigathi, KPC Managing Director Joe Sang said the intervention to support the program is part of the KPC Foundation’s mission to empower communities and transform lives. The donation will go a long way towards the achievement of empowering the boy child through treatment, rehabilitation and ensuring their physical health and wellbeing is prioritised.
“The Dorcas Rigathi Foundation is grateful to KPC Foundation for their kind gesture and willingness to support our efforts towards empowering the boy-child. I firmly believe that when we empower the boychild, we inherently contribute to the well-being and empowerment of girls as well. The key to uplifting the boy child lies in providing them with valuable skills, ensuring their gainful employment, or supporting them in establishing their own enterprises,” said H.E Dr. Pastor Dorcas Rigathi, Spouse of the Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya.
Since its inception in 2016, KPC Foundation has spent over KES. 30 million, in empowering special group (Women, Youth and People With Disabilities) to boost their businesses, literacy trainings on AGPO in partnership with KPC procurement and support them to be self-reliance.
