President William Ruto and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga have formally signed a political cooperation agreement aimed at fostering collaboration between their parties.

The Kenya Kwanza-ODM Framework Agreement was signed on Friday at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC), Nairobi, in the presence of Members of Parliament allied to both leaders. Deputy President Kithure Kindiki was also in attendance.

Under this arrangement, the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) and the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) will share political infrastructure and engage in joint consultations on key national governance matters. The two parties will also deploy their top experts to contribute to discussions on national development and policy formulation.

Earlier in the day, thousands of ODM supporters gathered at KICC ahead of the signing ceremony. The event followed a series of nationwide consultations conducted by Raila Odinga in regions where he enjoys significant political support.
