Evans Kibe, popularly known as “the Ever Smiling Man,” is the co-host of Amka na Mtaa, a weekday breakfast show airing from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Mtaani Radio 99.9 FM, Sauti ya Mtaa. In addition to his role as a presenter, he is an active reporter focusing on democracy, governance, and political affairs.
Evans describes himself as an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys open spaces and nature. He has a strong appreciation for spiritual gospel music and places great value on his faith, particularly reading scriptures. Writing is another interest, though his passion lies more in spiritual reading than general literature.
Known for his hardworking nature and eagerness to learn, Evans is always open to asking questions and improving his skills. Uniquely, he stands out as someone who does not follow or enjoy sports, including soccer. His dedication to work is evident in his strong belief in the value of effort, often expressed through his faith.
Evans joined Mtaani Radio a year after its establishment and has since become a versatile team member, having filled in on nearly all shows, especially Kikwetu. He is cheerful, energetic, and reliable, contributing positively to the station’s vibrant atmosphere. Previously, he worked at Mururi FM.
