The sixth edition of the Inclusive Africa Conference, organized by nonprofit inABLE, is set to take place from June 3 to 5, 2025, at the JW Marriott Hotel in Nairobi, Kenya. The conference promises to be a continental milestone in advancing digital accessibility and inclusion for persons with disabilities.
Bringing together global tech giants such as Google, Microsoft, Uber, Meta, Intuit, and key development partner Mastercard Foundation, the conference will also host policymakers, entrepreneurs, educators, innovators, and organizations representing persons with disabilities. This diverse gathering will explore scalable, tech-driven solutions to bridge the digital divide across Africa.
This year’s theme “Scaling Digital Accessibility through Innovation & Entrepreneurship” highlights how artificial intelligence is being leveraged to power assistive technologies across various sectors, including finance, education, transportation, and public services.

A special highlight of the conference will be a pitch session by 15 selected innovators, who will showcase their assistive technology solutions to funders and venture capitalists in a bid to scale impact and investment in inclusive digital tools.
“In today’s increasingly digital world, accessibility is not a luxury or an afterthought but a fundamental human right and a critical foundation for full economic participation,” said Irene Mbari-Kirika, Founder and Executive Director of inABLE.
The conference will also commemorate the World Day for Assistive Technology, reinforcing its global relevance.
Additionally, discussions will center around policy harmonization efforts in ICT accessibility, with focus on the newly enacted Persons with Disabilities Act 2025, signed by President Dr. William Ruto earlier this May. The Act offers a comprehensive legal framework aligning Kenya’s disability rights with the Constitution and the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, setting a precedent for other African nations.
