The country is set to witness a significant step in the electoral process today as the newly appointed Chairperson and Commissioners of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) officially take office. Chief Justice Martha Koome will preside over the swearing-in ceremony of the new IEBC Chairperson and Commissioners at exactly 12 noon today.

The ceremony, which will be held at the Supreme Court building in Nairobi, marks the formal assumption of office by the officials entrusted with steering Kenya’s electoral affairs.The Judiciary, through its Directorate of Public Affairs and Communication, has confirmed.
