One person has been confirmed dead while another is nursing serious injuries following an early morning attack along the Nairobi River-Mau Mau boundaries between Westlands–Kangemi and Dagoretti North.

According to Mzee wa Nyumba Kumi in Gatina, Thomas Wilson, the two victims were on their way to work when they were ambushed by unknown attackers.

Police officers from Muthangari have since collected the body of the deceased and transferred it to the City Mortuary.

Meanwhile, the injured victim is receiving treatment, as security concerns continue to rise in the area. Residents are calling for immediate measures to safeguard lives and protect them against criminal gangs.
